Las Vegas Show Reviews: Summer ASD Military Tactical Outdoor Show
A look back in words and pictures at the Summer ASD Military Tactical Outdoor Show

Another company that also enjoyed a very good show was Sturm. Their product line carried a certain niche status (foreign surplus) at the show, and it proved to be an effective at driving sales.

Jeff Daniel of Sturm noted that the show definitely exceeded their expectations.

“The August show was even better than the March show for us,” explained Daniel.

Sturm, like many surplus suppliers, always anticipated a wave of Asian buyers at past ASD Shows, but that has changed in recent years.

“Used to be that the whole first day of the show brought a lot of Asian buyers, but not anymore. There were some Asian buyers, but most of our customers were domestic army/navy retail buyers,” Daniel said.

He also found that hard goods outpaced sales of apparel.

Eagle Emblems also experienced a fast paced, positive selling environment at the show, according to Jim Gilbertson

“It was a pretty good show, and we’re still getting business from it. We try hard to track results from shows and follow up, and we already have determined that this show was even better than last summer’s,” said Gilbertson.

The next ASD Military Tactical Outdoor Show will take place February 28 through March 3, 2010 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. There is a likelihood that the LVCC will become the only venue for ASD Las Vegas effective with the August 2010 show.
