Downloading Music? Get Ready To Upload Sales Tax.

There’s movement afoot in state legislatures to impose sales tax on digital downloads of music, movies, books, other digital media, software and any other digital product that can be purchased for download. That of course includes iTunes and many other digital media download services. According to CNET, nineteen states have already enacted digital download taxes into law since 2006. In 2008, you will now pay taxes on “Taxman” in South Dakota, Indiana, Utah, Tennessee and Nebraska.
